Are we allowed to post links to tables?
Say, I post a table I made as usual, but instead of attaching it, I just link the fearless post.
This would mean that the table section would essentially become a table index type of section.

You cannot destroy CE. You also cannot destroy CEF. CEF is a community. If you try to block their path or step on them, they will just reroute course and return in greater numbers next time.
Nobody destroyed anything. All users are still posting, and tables and trainers will continue to be posted -- somewhere.

Problem is many are not aware of this new 'somewhere' location, I only know of it because of the site redirect that was active for a while when I tried to come to these forums. Can the description of the your site and or link not be placed in a sticky at the top of the tables and cheat section? Or is there already something been written that I'm not aware of?
Just wondering how everyone who is looking can become aware of it.

People can find it by reading.
I am sure that DB does not want to blatantly advertise 3rd-party alternatives for fear of falsely being associated with those 3rd-party alternatives.
Several posts have been made, redirecting people that may be interested in game-specific discussion, including tables and trainers.

| It's a shame to see this site go, but I don't understand the reasoning behind it. There's nothing illegal about cheats and trainers and I'm curious why anyone would think it is.

But THOUSANDS of table is gone and can't be found in new place... it's very sad that pretty good program been useless.

It will take time but eventually the whole db will be recreated.
Some people can still access old tables and download them so its just a matter of downloading them and posting on the new sites. I myself must have posted some 20 or so tables - i know its not a lot but i am trying to recreate information and authorship associated with each table and that makes it a lengthy and tiring process.
Just trying to say that don't worry it will happen. Instead of complaining, you can request which tables are missing and they will be posted, it makes us know which tables are more in "demand".

It redirects to gamergate. me/cheatengine/ and says :
"You have been permanently banned from this board.
Please contact the Board Administrator for more information.
Reason given for ban: User asked for this.
A ban has been issued on your IP address."?
Am I banned? How, I don't even have an account there?

Pwizard asked me to ban him, i had no intention to but then shit happened between Sun and CH and Sunbeam banned his IP.
If you're getting that message, you're either Pwizard or having same IP as his for some reason (VPN/Proxy?).
You should be able to use it fine now, i removed the ban.

Weird. Pwizard account shows that IP as registration one, i can't make what it is..upon whois it shows cloudflare servers.
Anyway, good to know...you can find the explanation for the move in GD there.

There are lines in the sand in terms of what falls under legal and illegal with cheat tables / trainers / game hacking in general. While a simple trainer that pokes some values to set health to 999999 or gives infinite items is simple and basic, things are becoming more in depth such as unlocking DLC or other content that would otherwise require some method of payment.
Legally, it is up to the game companies / publishers to protect their property, assets, and name. Sadly, it hurts the modding communities when things like this happen. Given that little to no info has been given on specifics of what caused Dark Byte to receive what he did, we can't really jump to any conclusions on what caused it to happen or if it holds any real validity.
Either way, you simply mentioning a company or its property gives them grounds to protect it if your mentioning of them is harmful in any nature. While they may not pursue anything past a simple C&D / DMCA takedown, DB is just playing it safe.
