Can programs running in the background affect effectiveness of BreakPoints? Or is 6-gen Intel CPUs somewhat faulty in this area (i7-6700 desktop CPU, Win7_64 Pro EN)? Or is there any BIOS function that could affect this?
My breakpoints sometimes "fire" and sometimes don't. When I go to Thread List and "clear debug registers" they seem to work again. Until they don't. It is very unreliable if breakpoint doesn't fire when one tries to figure which branch of code is doing something...
I use windows debugger option, but don't tell me to use VEH debugger because it is even worse in this regard.
INT3 I think does better - I must investigate it more. But I think the problem is more visible when trying also "access memory" BPs. So INT3 is not a solution here. But I will try to look - both VEH and INT3 once more.
EDIT: Well, VEH debugger has a "crashing" problem with "Find what accesses this address" BPs.
EDIT2: This is how VEH debugger is (not) working...
yt / watch?v=YFVoyQU8f-c (I can't post urls yet...)
At the end - at first breakpoint is not triggered and then we got crash.
EDIT3: Windows debugger is causing crash too, now. Only difference it shows "Program has crashed" window.
yt / watch?v=K-3KFpU7-Jg
And that is my problem - it is non-deterministic. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it even crashes.
