Hello all, don't post much around here, usually cause CE never really gives me much issue but today I ran into an issue and was wondering if anyone could give any advice. I'm not the most tech savy, just some basic knowledge so bare with me.
Decided to try and manually change a value in WH:40k Dawn of War II, in specific, skill points of my squads (for anyone that's played DoWII and know what it's all about) as none of the tables provided on here have the option of doing so. Now I've changed values before, I know how to find the value. But every time I find(or at least, think I find) the value pertaining to the skill points in DoW II and I attempt to change it, whenever I go back in game, the game almost immediately crashes. Anyone have a work around or solution to this from experiencing this before with this game or any other game? (this has also happened to me before with the Metro games a while back but I just let that one go)

You probably edited a value that is vital to gameplay and not the skill value ?
If you are certain it is skills value, it could be anti-cheat. Warhammer games are notorious for having anti-cheats so could be that.

Well, I can't say I'm 100% sure on it. I can't ever narrow down the value to just one number like most games. Closest I can get is 2-3 values and if I try to get any farther than that, nothing comes up on the next scan. It's really strange.
Anyone else have any other advice? I know this is an older game and doesn't get much attention anymore, still would be nice if anyone could give any advice.
