|
|
I'm trying to use cheat engine to automate a game.
I have found the right pointers for the address but I have to change it each time I restart the game. How can I find the static address from this base address and offsets?
Base Address: "Program.exe"+00B9A0F4
Offset 0: E0
Offset 0: 34
Offset 0: 14
Offset 0: 374
Offset 0: 198
and its pointing to: 10024870 wich is the right address.
But on restarting the values stay the same exact for where the pointer is pointing at. But filling in the value 00B9A0F4 doesnt work :/ How do I do this?

That base address is static. If restarting the game causes this pointer to not point to the thing it was pointing at, then you didn't find the right pointer.
Rescan the pointer list a few times. You should completely restart your computer at least one of these times. Add anything that's left to your address list by double clicking it, and it should work for you.

The fun thing is when I double click it it will point at the right address.
It will say Baseaddress+offsets pointing to 00123456
It adds it to my list saying ->00123456 value=0
but the 00123456 thing changes the pointer when I double click it will give me the right address but when I try to read a value from my BaseAddress it just gives me 2879 while the value should be 0 or 1
I try to check this address to see what the value is of that non-static address: 00B9A0F4
Do I need my program to find out what address its poiting to? and how?
To clarify
Here I found my base address with some offsets eventually pointing to a non-static address that contains the value:
can't post links so it in attachements
Here is when I double clicked it:
can't post links so it in attachements
So where do I find the address that I can use in my program so that after every restart I don't have to do this again to find the address?

I really have no idea what you're trying to do here. If you read what the value of the base address is, then of course it's not going to be the end value- the base address is a pointer to another address. That other address is a pointer to another, etc., until you end up at the final address which stores the value you are concerned with.
How are you trying to read the value?
Also, remove that second attachment if you don't want this topic to get locked (http://forum.cheatengine.org/faq.php#0).

Thats kinda my problem I don't know how to read the value from that address other then using the base address or the non-static address.

You should understand what a pointer is before you try to use one.
