We all know people ask about BlueStacks (Android emulator) all the frickin' time, so I've started trying to mess about with it myself. The problem is that every time I try to enable DBVM by individual cores (or in full), as soon as I reach the first core that seems to be responsible for handling BlueStacks data/instructions, BOOM, instacrash.

I haven't been successful yet with it, so my question is if there's potentially some kind of protection or integrity check in BlueStacks that essentially guarantees a crash (since I can do everything else just fine up to that point, I don't really see signs of anti-debugger/etc.), or if I've just hit the unlucky jackpot every time of DBVM's potential for crashing when enabling it on any given core.

Ultimately, I'd like to make a video showing people how to successfully use CE with BlueStacks, but crash after crash after crash after crash after crash has me curious as to the thoughts/opinions of those of you more experienced at reversing than I currently am.

Thanks for any feedback, peeps! Very Happy

EDIT: I'm doing all of this on Windows 10, BTW.

Don't use DBVM for bluestacks.
Just scan physical memory (the option will be available if you enable kernelmode read/write physical memory, DBVM isn't needed)

but to answer, to run CE on a core that has loaded DBVM go to the windows taskmanager, details, rightclick the cheat engine process, choose set affinity, and select the processor(s) you wish to use

also, try rooting bluestacks, run ceserver x86 on it, setup adb to forward the port used by ceserver to localhost, and then connect cheat engine to that. Then scan
