|
|
I finally got CE to not BSOD or throw an error at me as soon as I enable DBVM, thanks to darkbyte's help, but the BSOD problem is still there-ish.
When I enable DBVM and do shit with the memory of the game, it asks if I would like to attach a debugger process to the game.
I click yes, it works fine and does what it's supposed to do.
However, after like 10 seconds, it throws a BSOD at me saying "CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT".
I'm pretty sure the problem isn't coming from the game.
How do I fix this and get rid of the BSOD?
I'm not using a modified version of CE, and I have an AMD-FX CPU.
I did try setting the amount of "processors" to 4 and 2 in msconfig. I don't have any anti-virus, apart from Windows Defender, and I'm running windows 8.1
Is this coming from a windows anti-rootkit system type thing?
EDIT: I tried hacking something else in the memory, after a longer while, I got a new BSOD! (yay?)
"UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP(dbk32.sys)" or something like that, i probably got the dbk32.sys thing wrong.
Is this a BSoD of hope and will help out fixing it further or does it mean my system is not compatible with DBVM and it's unsolvable?

You say it only BSODs when attaching a debugger? I think you've the kernelmode debugger enabled, right?
Is the checkbox "use global debug routines" enabled or not?

And yeah, use global debug routines is enabled and it does BSOD when I try to hack memory and attach a debugger.

Did you already try to attach the debugger without the global debug routines enabled?

No, will that help?
And would that fix the kernel_mode_trap BSOD?
EDIT: I tried it just now, the game finds out I'm doing something to the memory and crashes the game.
EDIT 2: Maybe if I tell you guys what I'm doing with the adresses, then you can maybe help me a bit more. Here is what I do with the memory
1. Go to address
2. Change register at this location
3. EAX to 1, then click OK for the window and attach debugger
