When you use scan with All, type, app crashes and shows no value, which basically means this app is useless, unless you want to check every type every time you want to edit a value. Sb game hacker is far superior, too bad the piece of shit doesnt work on android 5....

I'm getting error "Scan error:controller:No readable memory found" when searching the android process list from pc.

You need the current ce sourcecode build to use it. 6.4 is incompatible with the ceserver in this apk

Is the source of the apk open to the public?
Have you heard of xposed framework? i was wondering how useful it could be to cheat engine.

Hmmm i cant get it to open on my phone , before the phone was rooted i could open the apk but now i cant any tips ?

Why does cheat engine use a lot of traffic data, 2.6 gb in 2 days?

It uses a socket connection with localhost for data transfer like reading a process and freezing values. (the apk connects to a local running ceserver)

it's all local data, not wifi, or data. (unless you connect a external CE running on windows to it, and then it's probably wifi)

maybe you could make a debugger that i can target the current address i found in cheat engine and let cheat engine show me real offset in ARM assembly when the target address's value is changed.

I knew how to find real offset with GDB debugger in iOS device but i don't know how to do it on Android device.

you can do that with a connected cheat engine.
Connect CE to it ,find the address (you can use the apk to find the address, it'll be faster) and then use ce's find what writes to find the code that writes it.

Note that it may not function on Samsung ROM's (or hardware, I have no clue why my samsung tablet fails)

I'm just leaving some feedback about the cheat engine.apk

Device: Oneplus One
ROM: Cyanogenmod 12.1

I have tried all basic scanning with custom types and work fine except the Grouped scanning. I already know some values structure of specific android game, when I tried to use the Grouped scan, it does nothing then the scan & reset button becoming gray until I terminate the process then launch the cheat engine again. I already tried the grouped scan with bluestacks (android emulator) and it finds the values structure in 3 secs with physical memory scanning (with specific start and end address range). Anyway Thank You Very Much Dark Byte (also people involved) for creating cheat engine (PC & Android).

Can anbody get it work with puffin browser , i cant find an aob code in game that i want and i do select puffin as an proces do i need to choose something else
