D3D Hook Crashing Game

Not exactly sure how to go about figuring out why the crash happens or why I can't fix it. The game just decides to crash.

Only happening in 6.4, 6.3 detects the wrong D3D versions in use.

Edit: A dump of the game opened up in Visual Studio states a thread trying to read from or write to a virtual address which it doesn't have access to. Would this be a CE bug?

It's possible it's a ce bug. You have a stacktrace from the point where it crashes? And does it go through any of ce's d3d dll's?

Visual studio should have a stacktrace somewhere (depending on how you've set it up and what theme you picked that can be anywhere. For me it's in the top right)

Alright I can get one, sorry I'm a bit new to this stuff so I might have questions. I'm not sure what you want to look at, but the call stack does go through ce's d3d dll's.

hmm, it comes from the d3d10 dll, but for some reason it's omitting the exportname.
I'll see if I can find out where it goes wrong

It seems to be at the constructor of DXMessD3D10Handler

get http://download.sysinternals.com/files/DebugView.zip and run it. Then activate the d3d stuff on the target game and see what the output is dbgview received

And the game isn't .net.

I am hitting a similar issue. the game started to freeze up randomly when trying to print text on D3Dhook

any update on this issue?
