Hello everyone, just got into messing around with Cheat Engine, did some basic stuff like change health, exp and so on but the one thing that seems to be troubling me are games where there are no health bars.

For example, I have 3 lives but I die just from one hit every time. How do I find out the address value for this type of situation? I have tried to go for the lives instead but it always end up to be game over with about a thousand results left over.

Any ideas? Thanks.

If you die with one hit, you can try ultimap if your system is compatible. If there is a period where your character cannot receive damage (such as flickering for a second right after re-spawning), then you can use that to make an invincible cheat by freezing that value so that your character is always invincible.
Regarding the lives, 1000 addresses is not a lot. Just batch-edit them until you find the right address. If the game crashes, try to work around those problem locations, if possible, until you narrow in on your value. Batch-edit fewer addresses if it's too problematic.
