|
|
I just bought a brand new system:
Quote: | PSU: OCZ OCZ500MXSP ModXStream Pro (500W, 80+ Bronze)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H
CPU: Intel Core i5 4460
SSD: 120GB Samsung 840 Evo
Graphics Card: 4096MB Gainward GeForce GTX 970 Phantom
RAM: 2x 4GB Corsair Vengeance Black DDR3-1600 (in Dual-Channel)
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro x64
RAM and CPU are specifically chosen because they are on the official compatibility list of the motherboard. I also went with Nvidia to get very stable driver software and very low power consumption, so that a 500W PSU will be enough.
All compoments are constantly cooled below 25°C in idle and barely pass 50°C in stress testings (prime95 and FurMark) |
Now let's get to my problem. First of all, I had to uninstall Avast, otherwise Cheat Engine claimed that I did not set up Intel VT in the BIOS.
But it definitely was:
Then I ran Cheat Engine (64 bit) as Administrator and tried to run DBVM:
But I got a bluescreen, I tried it about 10 times. No chance:
Then I tried to boot this: http://cheatengine.org/temp/vmcd.iso
Without success:

dbvm needs a small update to be able to work with the latest cpu's. There is a small issue with bits that are set while they shouldn't be (it's on my todo list after the android version)
as for that vmcd.iso boot issue, make sure secure boot is turned off and you actually boot off the cd. (it won't make it work, but at least the startup should work)

Thanks for the quick response.
Is there some place where I can read about your progress with the android version? And can you give me an estimated time for when you'll start on the small update for CE?
