I made a test trainer for Far Cry 2 in the late hours of the morning some time recently, and I packed it with an XM I wanted to use for release, but I didn't back it up, and now it's somewhere in my collection and I don't remember which it is.
I tried gutting the CETRAINER part of the module, but I get an error saying: error can not read stream byte 1 of file. It looks like it's compressed or something, so I saw something else in the PE called decompressor, and tried to run it against that, but I guess all that does is decompress it in memory.

standalone trainers have layers like an onion (but, it doesn't smell).

findTableFile function will use this (more or less):

hexToBin( xmlReader.Node().TextContent() ) |
and XML document is a CT file. CheatEngine "converts' CETRAINER to CT file in memory:

CETRAINER file and minimal CE installation is inside %temp%\cetrainers\CETxxx.tmp\extracted and is immediately deleted just after conversion.
But, before any of this, your standalone trainer extracts decompressor and archive into
%temp%\cetrainers\CETxxx.tmp\
decompressor will have the very same name as the first EXE, archive will be saved as CET_Archive.dat.
CET_Archive.dat itself is a zlib archive and it contains "minimal CE installation" and CETRAINER file.
Decompressor extracts those files into %temp%\cetrainers\CETxxx.tmp\extracted.
Anyway, here your XM file (open it with CE and save your XM file to disk)

I love this tune, i couldn't extract it (trainer doesn't even run on my system win8) but i remembered it by listening to it. This is it right ?

Ew he rendered the video with Protracker. Protracker is and always was garbage. I remember running it on my 500 and thinking "This is the biggest piece of shit ever."
Fasttracker 2 was better.

| I have a problem. I saved the values as "ctrainer" file. How can I now edit it in Cheat Engine? The program closes immediately after opening. Thank you.

As long as you didn't say yes to protecting it you can rename it to .ct and open it
