How can i know an item id? for example:
Pistol: 03
Shotgun: 06
I'm going to show you a list and you have to say me if something works for finding the id and if not show me the way
These are the things:
Debugger
Memory Viewer
Pointers
Exact Value
Unknown initial value
Decrease and increase value
Assembly
Scripts
Finding out what writes to this access
Can i found the way for seeing and finding item IDs through these ways?
And if the things in the list are useless for finding it
Can you tell me the way for finding item IDs?
Thanks for all
Again, sorry for my english, i'm from Spain and this isn't my native language
And sorry for posting a lot of questions but i am a newcomer of the cheat engine and i want to know some interesting things of this software

Most of the time, you find these by trial and experiment,by changing the value that you found, once you know that the item 'x' has the id 'n',you write it somewhere (in table extras or notepad for example),then, when you'll get all of them, make a form and some lua code that makes inventory editing easy or just find a pointer to that address that holds the item id,and change keep the items list to know how to change it.

I don't understand the way of doing it, it isn't for the english, the reason is that you didn't explain to me the way of doing this.
Can you show me the way of doing this?
Thanks

Hi
Try this (I think this is what redone was explaining):
Hold a weapon, do an unknown scan.
Change the weapon you're holding, do a changed value scan.
Change again, do a changed value scan.
Play with changed/unchanged values until you find a value.
This value is the id of the weapon you're holding.
Just write down this value for each weapon.
You can give it a try, though it would not work for every game.

Yes,that's what I was trying to explain,thanks.
You may find more than one value.
Also, the data type may be different (it could be a string value holding a string weapon identifier, instead of a numeric ID,for example 'bt_shotgun3' for one of the shotguns).
