I find that often when sploitin my games for fun and learnings, I use a combination of CE and OllyDBG to get the best of both worlds in terms of memory-searching and general code debugging.
This works well for a majority of the time, except for when I need to use CE's amazing "Find out what (x)'s this address" feature, which makes CE attach to the process as a debugger. In which case I just momentarily detach Olly while CE does its magic. However, when I want to switch back to using Olly as the debugger instead of CE, Olly complains (CE is still debugging even though I'm not using its dbg features) so I need to close CE and then re-attach with Olly, disrupting my flow.
Surely there could be a way of gracefully detaching CE as debugger from the process, without having to close CE and reopen?

let ce open another process, like the cheat engine process itself. That will also detach the debugger

Open the lua engine (CTRL+L in the memory view window) then type
This is what I generally do in such cases.
