Well, I had a few requests, and I've noticed there's a shit load of people that use this effect here, so I thought I'd teach you all how to do it.

Please note:
People are under the illusion that this looks better on your sigs.
NOT THE CASE.
Only use it if it works for your image.

Here are some outcomes (found in this section) that is the effect.

Here's the tut:

In photoshop (i'm gonna assume you have it),
Make a new document, 4x4 pixels.

Zoom in.
Get out your pencil tool, set to 1px.
Do 4 diagonal dots going across the page, whatever direction you want.

Then, click select all ctrl+a, go to edit>define pattern.
Click ok.

Go back to your other work (the one you want to add it to),
apply the image. (New layer - then ctrl+alt+shift+e)

Double click on the layer, click on pattern overlay, then select the one you just made.
Simply lower the opacity and you're done.

Only made it because I got a couple of PM's about it.

Started getting irritating Razz

As much as I don't encourage this rather average effect, I'd rather see more tags with it rather than pm's.

It's much simpler in Paint.net

iv known this ever since i started with PS but still good for people that dont know how.. i love just messing around making diff textures

You can also use 3x3 instead of 4x4px. If it makes it any easier. xP

its nice, but, sometimes i see these, bigger thicker scanlines, they made the same way?
