Currently my IDE settings are as follows:

Primary Slave - DVD drive
Secondary Master - HDD

I need to swap these two, or at least make my hdd Primary Master. i have an ASUS A9RP laptop, is anyone able to tell me how i'd go about doing this? it would be easier doing this to a desktop computer, but i'm not sure with my laptop.

please help me ASAP, apreciate it.

you need to know how to do this on a desktop computer? wow now that sucks...

How is it effecting your computing experience?
How did you find out?

On a regular PC you:

Open up the case.

Switch the cords that are connected to the CD/HDD ONLY! leave the motherboard/motherboard cables alone

i need to do it to my laptop, not a desktop computer. i'm not sure where the ide channels or jumpers are on my mother board (LAPTOP). a desktop computer's much easier.

you don't need to worry about how it's affecting me either.
