I'm using wsl ubuntu (windows linux sub system console) trying to build vmdisk dbvm.
1. I navigate to /mnt/c/Users/myname/documents/privengine/dbvm
2. sudo apt-get install build-essential
3. sudo apt-get install yasm
4. sudo apt-get install nasm
5. sudo apt-get install gcc
6. make clean install
Doing that gives me a bunch of information and at the end the following error:
Quote:
ld: warning: vbe3a.o: missing .note.GNU-stack section implies executable stack
ld: NOTE: This behaviour is deprecated and will be removed in a future version of the linker
ld: warning: ../vmm.elf has a LOAD segment with RWX permissions
make[1]: *** [mkx:72: all] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/mnt/c/users/myname/documents/privengine/dbvm/vmm'
make: *** [Makefile:17: all] Error 2
I also get a lot of these errors:
Quote:
ld: neward.o:/mnt/c/users/myname/documents/privengine/dbvm/vmm/common.h:324: multiple definition of `nosendchar'; main.o:/mnt/c/users/myname/documents/privengine/dbvm/vmm/common.h:324: first defined here
ld: neward.o:/mnt/c/users/myname/documents/privengine/dbvm/vmm/common.h:326: multiple definition of `emergencyOutputOnly'; main.o:/mnt/c/users/myname/documents/privengine/dbvm/vmm/common.h:326: first defined here
ld: neward.o:/mnt/c/users/myname/documents/privengine/dbvm/vmm/common.h:327: multiple definition of `emergencyOutputLevel'; main.o:/mnt/c/users/myname/documents/privengine/dbvm/vmm/common.h:327: first defined here
Now I'm wondering if that's because im doing that on my wsl?
I uploaded the full log here since its too much:
pastebin. com/raw/kJYugVa0
Edit: just tried it on a vm and I get the exact same Error there.
