How do I cheat?

I want to play old 32bit games such as GTA IV, Assassin's Creed 2, etc. I am planning to upgrade my 4GB RAM but do not know how much I need for the game and cheat engine.
Lets assume the game uses 3.5GB RAM. If I scan for a value and get 3 billion results, are the results stored in RAM or in the HDD? How much space would that require? (I do not want to be waiting a long time until the scan finishes just because I do not have enough RAM.)
I do not know if buying an extra 4GB RAM, for a total of 8GB, would be enough to run smoothely even if I get billions of search results. Can anybody suggest a RAM upgrade size? Would 16GB RAM be a requirement for smooth scanning? I have no idea. |

well, i play gta_sa with 8gb ram and i use cheat engine.
and it freeze sometimes lol.
