Hi,
I want to suggest new function for CheatEngine.
In CE interface we can add new checkbox named - "Fast Search"

And if it checked CE must automatically exclude all the values found, radically different from the desired value.

How it must work:

In Games we seek values that usually follow one after another, such as 1 ... 3 ... 12, or "14000" then "15000"
We want to find ammo for weapon, e.g. 12 bullets, but in memory what we found we see adresses whose values are jumping from 12 to 42342352352 or 0, or -1, or 5.5131, or else, and then bcak to 12 in same second.
For Fast Search we can automatically exclude that values if it have been changed for radically different value.
And game hacking can be even faster

Or you can just spam the Next Scan button over and over so it gets rid of constantly changing values.

...or it can automatically delete values, and free memory, when we still in game

Or you can bind the hotkey Next Scan-Exact Value so you can do it yourself while still in game.

I agree.

... or it can be automatically, and you do not need set the key, hit it in game, when you run or shoot

Just pointing out that in order for CE to know an address changes, it needs to constantly check its value.
If your search brings back a million results, you want CE to keep checking all of those addresses every millisecond?
I feel sorry for your CPU. Sad

Also considering it runs out of memory and must push the results to disk.
I feel sorry for your hard drives. Sad

When CE shows all this values in searh result it check all this values everysecond, and show results.
It all happens now. But if CE delete values that are changed, count of values, needed for check was decreased for millons and not need to be checked or changed, or shows

I'm sure it's optimized to only update the rows that are actually visible.

Anyway, I was just giving you alternatives to make your life easier while you wait for such an implementation.

that process not need to be run every millisecond. And every second.
Every 5 second for 1 step, and in 7 000 000 founded values we will have minus 6 000 000.
If you do not need this functionality, you may keep checkbox not checked

This process may be optimized like rows in search result field, and it will be fast like manual NEXT SEARCH. For you or mine processor it would be easy

If you have to ask for a feature like this, i bet you are doing something wrong that can be done in a simple way.

it's just a new idea to improve the functionality.
It is not a requirement and not a necessity.

Closest thing is for float whete you can choose 'simpklke values' pnly.
As for autodeleting addresses i do recommend a hotkey for next scan unchanged, and hold it down while in the game.


That screenshot for example, what if something unexpected happened and your value changed to 8?
It would then delete it

for this unexpected and very specifical moments we will have checkbox for activating/deactivating this feature.

For many games and gamers, especial for newby (and for simply change my money or ammo in game, like for me), this feature will be very helpful for very fast found values in very small time.

If you do not need this, or if you need very special features of CE for creating trainer or somthn else, you can turn off this.

But when you need find just money, or just bullet, and when you know how it values decreased increased - for 2-3 shoots, or + 500 money, you do not need adresses with value 83498239234.2

Do not need delete al values. it just mask values, if we found 1, like on screen, value 8 - normal. But value bigger than 1 on some big number like 5000 would not be normal.
Or we can set the range for values, bigger than we need. For money or exp with big number it actual. Or just mask - when we found 100, bigger than 100000 we dont need and smaller than 0 we still dont need

You could probably write an LUA script to auto-scan on a timer, but unless the timer is generous, you may unnecessarily bog down your system. That being the case, as others have pointed out, manual scanning via hotkey should be sufficient as the need for what you're suggesting seems unlikely to go beyond this thread.

That said, however, once a hotkey has been assigned, setting up a simple macro to repeat on a timer should solve your problem while you wait for a solution - but I really don't see the point as manual/hotkey method should work just fine...whether you're wanting rapid scans or infrequent scans.
