It's getting really annoying that I always have to switch to CE64-32bit whenever I wan't to make use of luasocket. Is there a 64bit version for 6.5 by now?

Where is the source code for it? I can try recompiling it for use in 64-bit for you. I think I found the official website for it but most of the links are broken.

I think you need some CE-specific files, but I'm not sure (I have no idea of compiling ect). maybe this thread will help:

6.5 only needs to compile with the normal lua 5.3 headers and tbe lua lib files in the ce repository under lua_extras because the dll files are renamed
as for luasocket itself. no idea if it is already compatible with lua 5.3

I need the source code to luasocket, the same code that was used to compile the 32-bit bins.

Thanks, I actually found it awhile ago but I am still reading through it all
I don't know anything about lua or CE/lua but I'll see if I can figure out how to get this compiled for you. It'll probably take at least several days since I haven't programmed anything with Winsock in about 10 years and there may be some new stuff/changes for Vista/7/8/10 I need to be aware of. And I haven't programmed IPV6 before so there might be some new things to learn there too!
