The game might be a different version. You could have pointer paths that only work for you.

give him the pointerscan results and let him do a rescan. (or let him send you a scandata file you can test yourself)

perhaps your friend isn't at the same screen? (could be he tries it in the main menu of the game instead of inside. )
...or he forgot to target the process

What I meant is that perhaps your friend is at the title screen of the game, before loading/resuming/logging in
Pointers do not prevent stupidity

Also, some pointerpaths could only work for you. E.g if it goes through a display driver allocated memory object. Or it interprets your name as an address...

That is why it's recommended to do a rescan on another system as well. (or use a scandata file from another system to rescan on, or even use during the initial scan)
