Cheat Engine

hey all. so glad i found this place. I am running boom beach on my pc thru bluestacks and am trying to use cheat engine. i've seen videos where they can change the amount of diamonds. i can get all the way to the change value of diamonds but when i change it to a new value it doesnt change in the game.

i am using 6.4. is there something i'm doing wrong. here is my exact process:

i start both (game and CE)
i hit the computer and pull up the process list and select physical memory
in the hex field i type in Diamonds (and the the number i currently have)
i select string under value type
i hit first scan

this pulls up just one result and i hit the arrow to send it to the bottom
i double click the value and type Diamonds ...then the new value
i hit ok

and nothing....what am i doing wrong?

Iv never played that game, but if the games server sided the chances are you wont be able to hack it, but if you can play the game offline as well as online you will be able to hack it.

if you can play the game OFFLINE

1) Start the game
2) start Cheat Engine 6.5
3) open Physical Memory

After you have done that, make sure you have a certain amount of diamonds, lets say 5 at least, search 5, buy something in game so that you have 4 diamonds left, search 4, until you have filtered through the result and you have 1 or 2 addresses left, then simply change the value of the address and voila your in game mula has changed.

Okay so I gave up trying to change the diamond value. I was able to change the value of the Firepower of my ship. But after I fire off about 4 or 5 bombs I get a server error. Is there any way to avoid this?

what do you mean by alter targets?
