How do I cheat?

| Hello. I am new to cheat engine and vac things. So i purchased dead island long time ago. Before for some reason my computer kept crashing at certain level that icould not play anymore. So that time I dont remember there being a vac ban. I was using the cheat engine now that my computer is not crashing but I may have made a mistake. I set my game menu online to single player and after finished the game using the cheat engine i found out that there is an vac option in the menu. I dont remember seeing that before. Since I reinstalled the game. So i was wondering am i going to get vac banned? I was playing single player, so by myself but the vac option was apperently at yes... please im freaking out.

| I read this before, but it doesnt really answer my question. Because that was differnt thing. What I had is I was playing single player mode, but I didnt see or know that there is option of vac secure game option. I heard from a friend that it shouldn't matter cause i was playing singleplayer. But i am worried if that option of vac secure game is going to get me banned for using cheat engine while online options is single player.

If you're playing single-player VAC is out of the question.

Even if the vac option was on? I had the vac option yes when i was using cheat engine. This is what the screen looked like. Now i turned the option off. If you are sure and right, i can stop freaking out :O

Well you can stop freaking out because if you're going to get banned, there's nothing you can do about it now.
So why worry.
