Hello
I've been trying for hours to find out the base address of a double value type, but i just can't.
what happens is after finding the hex value and applying the multi-level pointer steps, i will end up in a continuous loop of 2 similar hex values, which gets me nowhere.
i read this thread: xwx.cheatengine.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212924&sid=beeb70538ffecaadac815e890f236676
and from what user 24653187 has said in that thread i can "load double"
what does that mean?
sorry if im being confusing
EDIT: I finally figured out what load double is and tried using it instead, but i still end up with the continuous loop.

Not sure what you mean by getting stuck in a continuous loop.
Rescan the pointer by address instead of value.

well if you see from the attached image, the 2nd scan and 4th scan has the same value and address, 1000DFF8 and 0D169388 respectively. if i did the 5th scan, it would be similar to the 3rd, so on and so forth.
what do you mean by rescanning by address? if for example taking the 4th scan, scanning the address 1000DFF8 gives me nothing.

Had assumed you were using the built-in pointer scanner.
You searched for addresses containing the value of ESI in the first picture?
ESI in both the 2nd and 4th pictures is the same value?
That would also mean ESI in the 1st and 3rd pictures is the same as well?
No other instructions accessed addresses containing that value?

for 1st scan, there's 3 addresses found, but all for their values are 0D6190F0, and their offsets are also the same, so i just randomly screenshotted 1 of them.
for 2nd scan, there's 2 addresses found, same as the 1st scan both had the same values and offsets, 0D169388 and +4
for 3rd scan, it starts to get weird, because there would be one address already there, with the counter going up every second. after changing the value i would get a total of 4 addresses, so i chose the one with ESI, since its the similar looking one. as usual, all the values and offsets are similar.
for 4th scan, it somehow manages to get the same addresses as 2nd scan, so i was clearly stuck.
attached are all the scans. the values and addresses are a little different since i tried restarting the entire process, but the last few digits are similar.
