I downloaded a working cheat table, but CE asks if I want to run it, and says/warns it contains LUA script. Should I be concerned?

it 'could' be mallicious(it runs as admin and can edit memory of running processes, including system processes) . so if you're not sure, click no, check out the scripts, and if you see nothing special just reopen it and click yes

Thanks. I'll look through it and see if I can figure it out.

Cheat Engine allows Lua to access files on disk as well, so it can be used to alter / delete important system files. You should only run trusted scripts. Do not run things you are unsure of. If the cheat table is not compiled / protected you should be able to view the Lua script the table wants to execute before you run it as well to review the code and ensure its safe.
