Hi,

I wanted to changes some values in 2020 My Country.... This is my last resort posting my problem on here.. Hopefully it'll be solved.

So to start of with..
I am using Cheat Engine 6.4
I have Windows 8.1
This is a Sony Vaio Fit 15A Laptop

mmm thats all the basic info needed I think..

Right soo.. The Problem.

To change values in 2020MyCountry you have to open .bin file.

which I did... then click Memory view to see the Hex Jibberish LOL Yes I am a Software Developer, but i hate it... never bothered to understand it.. Maybe I should

Anyways so the Memory View says

For everything... If I open Physical Memory from process view I can see stuff in Memory View, but nothing in this file.. >_<

So I went online looking for solutions it's been a week of trying things after things..
Like trying out CE 6.2, 6.3, 6.4

Clicking on KernelModuleUnloader.. restart my laptop

Enabling VT in BIOS

Changing Advanced Boot Settings in MSCONFIG..

Then Enabling DBVM..

Switching to KernelMode(Required DBVM)

(Took me multiple BSOD's to finally get DBVM to be enabled)

So I thought yessss Finally got DBVM working... I was soo excited.. I opened the save_off1.bin file... clicked on memory view with soo much hope to finally see some values than those pesky "?? ?? ?? ?? ??", and guess what same old story bunch of annoying "??"

After a week long of trying.. here's me posting on here hoping for a solution.

Hope you guys can help me..

I tried it first normal way... then i went into one stage to another... like i said I have been messing with it for a week...

I tried all different versions without doing anything first.. then i went into messing with DBVM

Don't get why it's showing blank!!

I have attached the file. NVM I can't attach the file.. just a screen shot.. site won't let me.

Click file->open file and target that file
If that doesn't work then I suspect cheat engine might have an issue with your windows username

perhaps if you format the path to the file using old 8.3 file notation it will work, else you might have to create a new windows account using alphabetical characters only

Mmm... Well open file thing is what I have been doing...

Mmm... Username problem... can that really happen?? The Problem is... It comes from my live account LOL... I dun think I can change it I'll try

open a command prompt and go to c:\users
there type in "dir /x"

With luck your username will have a 8.3 notation in the column before it

use that notation in the path instead of your real username

I tried to change it into a Local account it create that "Rudu" Profile, but it keeps the app data in that weird account...

I tried using C:\Users\D2E8~1 in CE... did nothing Memory View still shows ?? ?? ??

EDIT:
Hmm.. Think it's about time I give up on it.. its Midnight... and I gotta wake up 5am for work.

Thanks for you help... if you have any other input.. i'll have to try it after work.
