How do I cheat?

I want to enable DBVM but I am worried that it may corrupt my system or files could this happen? Because one day my PC crashed out of nowhere but files were corrupted.

As long as you don't use write caching you should be safe.
And even then it usually affects the most recently written data. A diskcheck will usually fix the problems
