It's because there is no guarantee to the order that the names will get inserted into the global name table. They act as indexes and should not be treated as an ID (unless you are using the current global names table). Reusing IDs from one instance of a process to another is a terrible idea.

Got that!... It was late, I was drunk Smile

In WillowTree i remember you could change the status of your quest in the first Borderlands.

Is it possible to use CE to trigger a quest from "Started" to "Ready to turn in", in borderlands 2?

Wow, already? I thought the save encryption would take years of brute forc...no, no wait. This is a forum of reverse engineers who are fluent in win32 ASM and could sniff out an unencrypted cypher key in memory faster than a...a...a...fast...thing. Wow, coffee fail.

Anyhoo, Adding my +1 thanks for the continued interest, effort, and talent that will let me ruin Borderlands 2 for myself, then delete all my hacked saves, enjoy it again, GET BORED CAUSE IM NOT A GOD, and then cheat again. Thank you thank you thank! Smile

::EDIT::
Had to edit for spelling and grammar. Coffee just not cutting it this morning. While im here though, remember 60 pages ago when the biggest concern was finding a direct pointer for #keys used and max # keys. Ahhh, the good old days Smile

I tried the updated item levelers and none of them work for me.

Here is the steps I do

#1 open the game, load character, and load level, then enter inventory.

#2 open Cheat engine load borderlands exe, then load the CT.

#3 clicks on boxes and tries to change the value???? fails.

Why does the slots thing work and the item levelers don't? Am I doing something wrong here? I don't have a trainer activated while doing this either. Although I have used one.

Slot machine script is assembly, the item leveler is LUA. You have to allow the LUA to run. If you use the table I posted on page 69, here are the steps I use:

1) Open Cheat Engine with table
2) Cheat Engine will ask if you want to run LUA, hit no
3) Open borderlands
4) Load character
5) Alt tab to CE, Open BL2 Process, then (Top menu) Table -> LUA -> Execute Button, then close LUA window
6) Tick the box next to the Item leveler script and then edit level to character's level
7) Go back to BL2
Cool Open inventory, mouse over item, press F2
9) Swap out item and back in
10) Profit

Edit: Forgot a step

Cheat engine doesn't ask me if I want to run LUA or not.

None of the LUA scripts anyone has posted in this thread work for me no matter what, I ALWAYS get some sort of error that I dunno what means, let alone know how to troubleshoot it. I can post the particular one I just got by copy/pasting then hit execute on the table on page 69:

Error:

[String..[Enable]..."]:1: unexpected symbol near '['

No clue in the world what that is supposed to mean.

I use CE 6.2, Windows 7, and I open CE by double clicking the table with the extension registered to CE. Don't know what along the way does that, but since the answer is 'no' anyway (I run it later after I get into the game), it probably doesn't matter.

I edited my above post, if I copy/paste the table into CE LUE script and try to run, I get the above error. Or if I try to just use the CT file it simply doesn't work, non responsive.

***This is off topic, but why are all my quotes always messed up on this forum? And how do I fix that?

I'm using CE 6.2 and Windows 7 64 bit.

I'm using the Black Box version of Borderlands 2.

The LUA scripts don't have [ENABLE] in them, those are the assembly scripts. They are linked to the options actually in the table list (check a box to get them to work). LUA scripts are different. Are you sure you are using the right table? I am at work right now and can't really dig into troubleshooting. If you are having issues still in like 5 hours I can help more then.
