Cheat Engine

Hi, I'm new to Cheat Engine, so I don't know about much of this stuff.

Cheat Engine 5.5 seems not to work with my Windows Vista. I'm pretty sure I'm not doing anything wrong with CE, since I tried it on an XP and it worked perfectly fine.

When I put in the first value, a list of addresess come up, but when I put in the next value, there are NEVER any results. No matter what game, what I'm trying to change, or what the value is.

Any suggestions to how to fix this? Or is CE just simpily incompatible with Vista?

so if you do a first scan for the value "1" and then do a next scan for the value "1" again, it will show no results?

if so, make sure you are running as administrator (although it shouldn't even run if you're not running as admin)
Else uninstall your anti virus and firewall

also, have you tried the tutorial? Does that one work? Because if it does work then it's most likely just you that's scanning wrong

I'm having almost the same problem. Sad

I have Windows Vista also.
It used to work but one day it just stopped working 4 me.

When type the first value in I get nothing... of course a simple value like "1" works but it's not the value I need.
On my sister's computer it works fine but not mine never. (Her computer isn't Windows Vista.)

Hi, I have a similar issue but it depends on the game I target. I have Windows XP, and when I target plugin-container.exe since I use firefox, I always come up with one vlaue, but only sometimes a second.

I followed some video tutorials that said to multiply the value I was looking for by 8, when I do that, I never come up with results for my second search. When I do not do that, I get results - but then of course they are incorrect for what I am looking for.

I ran into this problem a lot trying to hack farkle on facebook, mainly learning how to use the cheat engine (all I managed to do wass change the minimum roll value). It's just getting frustrating because I can't seem to get it to work - is it because of the kind of game I am attempting to hack or am I doing sth wrong???

Also, when I open the process I find 1 plugin-container.exe in the process list but 4 or 5 in the process list (long) - what is the difference?

I wouldn't suggest to try Your new skills with Facebook games. Try simple flash games instead. Most games on Facebook are server sided and of course even if there is a glitch in them to cheat, they will fix it as soon as they figure out that a popular cheat is available.

Facebook games are usually trying to sell some crap for You. This means they want money from You and of course they try to prevent cheating because no one will buy their virtual crap if it can be edited with CE too.

Logically, non-facebook non-profit oriented games are not so protected, especially flash games that are running offline too.

Cheat engine 6.5 does work on Vistas.Look for FAC FlashPlayer Plugin in the Process List then apply the cheat.It won't work on Firefox plugin.
